I came to Boise, Idaho in April of 1988 in third grade when my father accepted a Hewlett-Packard promotion. I come from a loving family and I had a blessed childhood. I attended Cole Christian Elementary, Fairmont Middle School, and graduated from Capital High School in 1997. While in high school, I participated in tennis, basketball, and bowling. Additionally, I was voted most outgoing senior, elected to student council, and was a beat reporter for the sports section of the school newspaper.
After high school and prior to becoming an attorney, I worked as a technician or engineer for various technology companies including Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Extended Systems and Micron Technology.
During this season of my life, I met my wife Michelle on the campus of Boise State and married her along the Boise River in 2005, surrounded by friends and loved ones. It was one of the best days of my life.
In 2013, I began a new chapter of my life when I enrolled in law school. During this time, I attended law school at night while maintaining full-time employment at Hewlett Packard during the day. While in law school, I was elected to the student governing council and provided more than one-hundred hours (100) of pro bono activities teaching American Civics to potential citizens.
After graduation from Concordia School of Law in May 2017 and passing the Idaho state Bar Exam, I worked as an associate intellectual property law attorney for Shaver & Swanson, LLC., before working as a Canyon County Deputy Prosecutor for the State of Idaho. After my time working for the state, I managed a criminal defense department of a mid-sized large firm before stepping away from criminal law to join Peters Patchin & Monaghan where I plan to retire after a long career in estate planning.
I am excited to help continue the legacy that Barry Peters has started and his partners are carrying forward. This firm is ethical, efficient, and driven by attorneys who care about their clients and the firm’s reputation; and I am proud to contribute. Additionally, I enjoy the challenge of ensuring every client establishes the perfect estate plan for their specific needs based on their goals and circumstances.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hanging out with Michelle (my wife), basketball, live music, jiu-jitsu, learning, and laughter.
